Programmable Agents –
Programmable agents are state machines that support the
Unified Modeling Language (UML) state machine semantics
and interfaces.
State Management – This capability reacts to delivered
events and processes them to ensure that the in-memory real-time
network meta-model reflects the instantaneous correlated
state of physical, logical, and topological layers.
Event Filtering – This capability is provided by
programmable agents that are injected into the reactive
state machine agent graph based on the state of a particular
managed system or on the state of the network (e.g. a filter
to suppress a SONET storm).
Event Correlation – This capability provides the
mechanisms to correlate two or more events for delivery
to a managed system state machine agent and is used to determine
root and probable cause, and to provide correlation of complex
composite events. |
